The Devonshire Arms Bolton Abbey has been in the family of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire since 1733.
Based in the family’s Bolton Abbey Estate in North Yorkshire the hotel was traditionally a coaching house. There are four private function rooms available, with the largest being the Cavendish Room, holding a maximum capacity of 96 guests.
The hotel holds a licence for civil marriage ceremonies and, from December 2005, civil partnership ceremonies enabling both the formalities and reception to be held in style and comfort. The Cavendish Room, is completely self-contained with its own bar, kitchens and dance floor.
For larger numbers there are also facilities for marquee weddings. The Burlington Restaurant has recently regained its Michelin star under Executive Head Chef Stephen Smith.
